First announcement and call for papers for: North/South Pharmacy Healthcare Conference Cavan Crystal Hotel, Cavan 11th & 12fh September 2006 The North/South Pharmacy Healthcare Conference has been organised by a number of pharmacy bodies to bring together pharmacists from all over Ireland and in all spheres of the profession to allow the exchange of ideas and to encourage networking. The conference Programme is as follows: Monday 11th September 2006 Conference Dinner at the Cavan Crystal Hotel Tuesday 12th September 2006 Main Proceedings Call for papers Abstracts are welcome from pharmacists and technicians from all areas of practice and may be submitted for either oral or poster presentation. A broad range of topics will be considered including: medicines management, patient safety initiatives, CPD, new directions in pharmacy and technician initiatives. Abstracts must be no longer than one A4 page with 2.5cm margins and printed in Times size 12 format. Abstracts should be submitted in both hard and electronic format to NICPPET (NICPPET, Freepost, BEL3149, BT9 7BR; nicppet@qub.ac.uk). Applicants should indicate if they wish to present a poster or to provide an oral presentation (10 minutes plus 5 minutes for questions). The closing date for abstracts is: 16 June 2006 Conference costs The Conference dinner will be covered by sponsorship. The day delegate rate for 12th September is £30 per person. For those who wish to stay overnight the cost is 80.00euros single B&B or 130.00 euros twin B&B . NICPPET will cover the cost of travel for community pharmacists attending from Northern Ireland. In addition, NICPPET will cover the conference and accommodation costs for those presenters from Northern Ireland.
