The Career Development Awards Scheme caters for the highest level of research development. These Awards provide support for outstanding candidates who do not as yet hold established positions and who wish to extend their research experience. The scheme is aimed at individuals who have demonstrated outstanding ability as independent researchers; show potential for leadership in their field and who may be expected to fill an established research post in the future.

The HSC R&D Office, Belfast and Health Research Board, Dublin would like to offer an opportunity to candidates from Northern Ireland and Ireland to participate in the NCI’s distinguished Cancer Prevention Fellowship Programme (CPFP).

The Joint Research Projects in Cancer aim to foster enduring relationships between cancer researchers and research institutions in the US and the island of Ireland through support for a shared post-doctoral or clinical researcher working on a defined cancer research project of mutual interest.

The Grant is open to cancer researchers working on the island of Ireland and in the NCI, in any cancer-related discipline. Each successful applicant is entitled to only one award in any given year.
