Wound Management Dressings from 1st April 2007

From the 1st April 2007 a single Northern Ireland Wound Care Formulary for both primary and secondary care will come into effect so that high quality, comprehensive wound care is available to healthcare professionals for the management of patients regardless of where they are being treated.

NI Minor Ailments Scheme

The Northern Ireland Minor Ailments Scheme was developed to enable clients who are exempt from prescription charges to obtain medicines, for a certain range of common conditions from their pharmacist, from the Health Service without the need to visit a GP surgery for a prescription. NI Repeat Dispensing Scheme

Repeat dispensing is the process by which patients can obtain supplies of their repeat medicines over a defined period of time from a pharmacy of their choice, without the need to contact their GP practice on each occasion a new supply is needed. Read More.....
