ICT (Information Communications Technology)

The ICT/Information Services department provides a range of functions and services, both internally to other Directorates/Strategic Business Units in CSA/RSS and externally to HPSS customers.  The department liaises with internal departments, HPSS Customers, DHSSPS (Directorate of Information Systems), Third Party Solution Providers and other suppliers to HPSS.

Strategy

* Contribution to HPSS ICT Strategy and CSA ICT Strategy.
* Research and development of new delivery mechanisms, ICT applications and infrastructure solutions.

Policy

* Development and maintenance of ICT Policies, including ICT Security, Use of Internet, E-mail etc.

Information

* Provision of Key Performance Indicators to RSS Directorates and HPSS Supply Board customers.
* Provision of information solutions to HPSS customers (e.g. via decision support applications).
* Provision of management information, both routine and ad hoc, to internal departments and customers.

Project Management

* Project Management of ICT initiatives and solutions for RSS and HPSS customer base - particularly in respect of E-Commerce developments.
* Project Support for ICT initiatives.

Maintenance/Support/Training

* Maintenance of operating systems, applications, security protocols.
* Installation/Configuration/Maintenance of hardware, networks, infrastructure, software
* Application training for RSS/CSA staff.
* Maintenance of systems routines for effective operations.
* Design/development of applications for internal use.
