COLLABORATION

Regional Supplies Service works collaboratively with a number of other Public Sector Organisations across the United Kingdom.  This collaboration is aimed at delivering improved value for money for customers, and identifying and sharing best practice in our services among supplies and procurement professionals.
 
Regional Supplies Services has strong links with similar supplies organisations in England, Scotland and Wales and meetings
we hold:
 
National Health Service Purchasing and Supplies Agency www.pasa.nhs.uk negotiates national contracts for the whole of the National Health Service, and Regional Supplies Service participates in many of these contracts. National Health Service Purchasing and Supply Agency also leads the performance improvement initiatives within the procurement field, sponsored by Department of Health.
 
Welsh Health Supplies www.whs.wales.nhs.uk provides a contract negotiation and materials management service to the National Health Service in Wales.
 
Scottish Healthcare Supplies www.show.scot.nhs.uk/shs provides procurement and technical services, primarily to the National Health Service in Scotland.
 
Regional Supplies Service collaborates with National Health Service Purchasing and Supply Agency, Welsh Health Service, and Scottish Health Service through formal liaison groups to:
share best practice; understand and assist the procurement strategies of each organisation; 
collaborate on specific contracts to aggregate requirements; and work together on initiatives such as benchmarking and
e-procurement.
 
National Health Service Logistics at www.logistics.nhs.uk  provides a warehousing and logistics service to Trusts in England, and works closely with National Health Service Purchasing and Supply Agency and Trusts to identify and manage products and supply chains, through its warehousing and distribution service. Regional Supplies Service has formal links with National Health Service Logistics through the Regional Supplies Service Directorate.
 
In addition to the collaborations with other Health Service Supplies and Procurement Bodies, Regional Supplies Service also works formally with the Northern Ireland Civil Service Procurement Service through a "Procurement Practitioners Group" www.cpdni.gov.uk  and has specific partnership arrangements with the Office of Government Commerce www.ogcbuyingsolutions.gov.uk  The procurement arm of central government.
